Lyretail Anthias

Pseudanthias squamipinnis- Lyretail Anthias are a relatively hardy and popular Reef fish because of their beautiful coloration and interesting behaviors.

This species is a protogynous sequential hermaphrodite - none are born male, but the dominant yellow-orange female in a group will transition into a male with bright pink, purple, and red coloration. These fish are currently in female form and do best in pairs or small harems in reef tanks of 180+ gallons.

Like many anthias, this species has a fast metabolism, so feeding them a varied diet multiple times a day is advised. They're currently feeding on EasyReefs DKI pellets, TDO C1 pellet, PE Calanus, Hikari mysis, and Easy Reef's Masstick.
