Biota Portal Chalice frag

Oxypora sp. - This blueish chalice coral with orange eyes is farmed in Palau.

It prefers moderate water flow and lighting and will have the most intense coloration when it is slowly and carefully acclimated to brighter lighting, but also does well in the lower sections of a well-lit reef aquarium. Give it plenty of space to grow away from other corals.

Like other LPS corals, this coral requires stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and trace elements for health and skeleton building. It gets most of its nutrition from symbiotic zooxanthellae, but does best when fed a variety of coral foods and frozen foods.
